Rosebell is a Ugandan multimedia communication strategist, public speaker and award-winning blogger. She experienced in new media, communications strategies, youth, gender, peace and security issues. She recently held a postion of Public Information Officer and Social Media Manager at the International Organization for Migration headquarters in Geneva.
She has worked as a consultant for various international organizations including campaigning with Oxfam and the Nobel Women’s Initiative. The World Economic Forum recognized Rosebell as one of the Young Global Leaders under the age of 40 in 2013 because of her advocacy on social justice issues faced by many in African countries. Rosebell has used new media tools to document and advocate for women’s rights in situations of armed conflict in Uganda, DRC, South Sudan and Liberia.
Rosebell is a critic of media narratives on Africa and has a strong social media presence. She has also studied non-violent conflict at Tufts University and holds a Masters Degree in Media, Peace and Conflict studies.
